Elisabeth Drewes Kofoed
Elisabeth Drewes was born in 1875 and worked for Bing&Gröndahl from 1895 on. She was educated at the Painting and Arts Academy for women in Copenhagen. She was married with Peter Kofoed and finalized her work in the factory in 1912. Elisabeth Drewes Kofoed died in 1948.
Many of the painters work were on unique vases. She lent some of the carving technicque from Effie Hegermann and generated some outstanding pieces for example a huge floral carved vase that went to the Paris Exhibition in 1900. It is exhibited at the Clay Museum in Middelfart.
